Over the years I have worked hard to grow ProofHub, achieved success in leading teams and managing them. I started ProofHub because I just wanted to save people’s time and make it easier for them to manage their projects and teams.

I have a team that has helped ProofHub grow with tremendous features. And I found that the greatest asset in leading teams is related to people. We can all be experts in what we do but you’ll fail to successfully lead teams if you can’t skillfully manage human interactions (your team).

Becoming a leader is work-in-progress. Are you a boss with just a title or a leader who leads the people? You know the world is starving for good leaders. So you want to know how to be a great leader? Here’s what great leaders do:

1. They Are Transparent in How They Communicate

Being transparent means being easily seen through. No transparency means no trust. Great leaders like Steve Jobs, Richard Branson, have a magical aura as they follow a transparent path. But are you like Richard Branson?

ProofHub is the smartest way to collaborate and be transparent. Give it a try.

Transparency in leadership is a good thing. It starts with being with your team and talking to them thoughtfully about what they are doing and why they are doing it. It is a degree of openness and honesty. This can take your leadership skills too far as you and your team will get to know about each step. You won’t get too far without it.

2. Have Faith in Their Beliefs

Do you believe in your team’s ability to tackle difficult challenges and to successfully implement solutions?

You cannot be a leader until you have a solid faith in their ideas. To be successful you have to listen to others and support their creativity. Leadership is all about being passionate about having confidence in your followers whom you have to motivate.

3. They Give Credit Where It’s Due

Boss takes credit and great leaders take the blame and pass on the credit. There is definitely nothing more inspiring than getting a pat on the back from the leader. If you want to be a great leader, never find it difficult to acknowledge the efforts of your people. Even when they fall, they believe in their abilities. After all, who does not want to get a toast from their leader?

Good leaders recognize employees; great leaders appreciate them.

4. They Inspire Others to Grow

When you become a leader, your success is all about inspiring others. What makes a leader inspirational? Simon Sinek taught us in his TED Talk, “How Great Leaders Inspire Action,” no one follows a leader for the leader, he or she follows them for inspiring themselves. You’ll be never recognized for your leadership if you fail to inspire someone to grow.

What’s your favorite strategy as a leader? Or what do you want to see in your leader? Leave your comments below!
