Here’s what you must do to set up a successful business!
‘All artists are entrepreneurs. All entrepreneurs are artists.’ — Seth Godin
Entrepreneurship is hard, but so is life. Before you start building your dream of being an entrepreneur, be clear about one thing that it is going to require a lot of meticulous effort. And, by effort I’m not talking about the number of hours or physical labor that you will need to put it. It’s going to be an equally grueling mental effort as well.

Come to think of it, being an entrepreneur is just like being an artist. There are plenty of similarities between the two. At the end of the day it all comes down to what you want to achieve with your business?
The simple answer that will come to every one’s mind is MONEY! Of course, money is the one thing that everyone needs to run the errands. But do you think it is just money that drives people like Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg or Bill Gates?
Success has different meanings for different people. For some it is power, for some it is innovation — the zeal to do something that changes the world forever. And, for some it is doing something that makes the world a better place to live.
So, first of all you need to figure out what are you trying to achieve with your business?
Are you trying to live your dream?
We all have our childhood dreams. For some it is traveling, for some it is writing a novel while for some it is to become an entrepreneur. Are you from the last group? For you setting up a business is living your dream.
Do you want to fulfill your beliefs?
Have you always believed in something? And, starting your own business is the best way to fulfill those beliefs. Or, just looking to make a lot of money?
Once you have an idea about what you are trying to achieve with your business, go ahead and give wings to that idea. But remember, no matter what your purpose of running a business is, you will never be able to achieve it unless you -
Let your imagination fly
Let’s start from the beginning. Entrepreneurship is not just about setting up any business. It is about coming up with an idea that is unique — that’s out of the world so that it can create an impact. Think of it as a masterpiece by an artist.
To come up with that masterpiece, an artist must let his imagination fly. Same is the case with entrepreneurs, they need to think out of the box to come up with an idea that’s never been done before. Or, even if it is done before then they must come up with something to better the previous version!
Are ready to take risks
Success comes, but there’s a lot at stake. Dreaming about something is what everyone can do. But it takes special talent and courage to make those dreams come true. If you have started a business, which is your childhood dream, you must be willing to take risk and put things at stake.
There are bound to be hiccups initially, you need to have a strong will to stay focused during these tough times. Like they say, nothing worth having comes easy. So, before you jump onto starting a business think of all the reasons that will keep you going even during those tough times.
Find positives in your harshest criticism
Even the greatest artists in this world have had to face harsh criticism before the world could realize how great their talent was. You need to keep this thing in the back of your mind. People might criticize you, but think of criticism as your dose of inspiration. Take every harsh words that is hurled at you in positive light.
You never negative comment by someone might work as the inspiration for your next big idea. So, don’t let your mind become full of negative when people talk against you. Stay strong on try to find the positive out of those words to stand stronger next time. Remember, people or situations are as bad as our reaction to them.
