A leader has many responsibilities towards a team, but when the team is remote, the dynamic changes by a lot. Since my team has been working from home I have made sure to:
Working on these factors has been challenging but also, fun! Prioritizing has increased our success rate, organizing has made our workflow more efficient, the discipline has got us all on the same page, and strengthening communication has made us come to a better understanding of one another.

Getting the hang of this I realized these things could only be accomplished when I believed in my team and started trusting them a lot more. Winning the trust and loyalty of a team that works from home is hard but was proved to be not impossible.
How Did I Do It?
I quickly realized that my role for remote work to actually work was by just being there for my team! And more than that, showing them that I was here to back their every move. I had the solution, I just had to be more accessible to my team and create a presence, and that’s exactly what I did!
Knowing your role in any situation is important for a leader. Mine, in the remote work situation, is empathizing and that’s exactly what I’m going to be focussing on doing.
After all, “A leader is best when people barely know he exists when his work is done, his aim fulfilled, they will say: we did it ourselves.” — Lao Tzu
